				Only in Boise, Idaho.....

With all the threads about NYC, Boise has not been given the attention it deserves. Here is a thread for you, Boise!

Let's write about the experiences we've had in Boise, Idaho.

ETA:
Sadly, I have never been to Boise. My friend went there and said she saw tumbleweed go by. Only in Boise!

When I was around 12, I stayed in a KOA around Boise. I just have to say that nothing of note happened there.
 Only in Boise!

I was driving through Boise, and wouldn't you know it? A herd of cattle blocked the road, so we had to stop at the Tastee Freeze!!!

We had a family reunion in Boise, Idaho once. My aunt married a professor at BSU and it was their turn to host the reunion.
We went cowtipping that weekend. Only time you'll see a bunch of drunk Hawaiians cowtipping.

 Only in Boise!

Ida is a HO because she likes the Boys-ies.
My trampy American History teacher in 8th grade taught us that. I kid you not.

			Boise is in Southern Idaho
Never been to Boise. Have been to Northern Idaho tho. Filled up my gas tank in Missoula, MT and did NOT stop until we got to Spokane, WA. N Idaho gets a bad rap!

The Navy used to have one of their nuclear prototype trainers outside of Boise. Students had a choice of going there or to Ballston Spa, NY.
Is there a thread on Ballston Spa, NY by any chance???

True story (from the geek who would have loved to have been a professional etymologist!): back in the mid 1800's, when the West was being settled, one of the Congressmen or Senators at the time discovered that the word "Idaho" means "person who eats feces" in one of the Native American languages. Every time a new state was being formed, he would nominate "Idaho" as its name, only to be shot down. Finally, after 5 or 6 times of this, the rest of the House gave in and named the newest state - Idaho!
