Are they all on the same weekend? Is it like a tribute to the whole NY stonewall thing?

But they have been putting up banners on one of the major streets downtown.

Does anyone know why it's all around now? Chicago and Tel Aviv are having theirs this weekend.

The summer is "Pride Season" in general......Stonewall happened in the summer....I think it's just a coincidence.

The actual parade in Vancouver is August 1st, but there is a tonne of other actvities going on surrounding the parade...

Plans include:Gala Dinner, June 20;resurrected Stonewall Festival June 26 in Grandview Park and a dance that night at the Wise Hall; Picnic in the Park July 24 @ Prospect Point; Queerstock, five nights of free acoustical music at Alexandra Park July 25-27,29,30;Terry Wallace Memorial Breakfast Aug 1-Nelson Park; Pride Parade 12-2 pm, August 1, Sunset Beach Festival after the parade Aug 1; Pride cruises Aug 1& 2

There's a Straight-Pride parade coming up in my town. We're all gonna go around and raise awareness about being heterosexual. We're just so proud to be straight.
