Province Days
My chapter is holding Province Days this year (for Mu province)! Ahhh we are so excited!
I know many of us are brainstorming for ideas. What are some things y'all have done at Province Days? We know there must be a musicale, and Ritual; but what other kinds of things go on in the other provinces?
I do know that we're going to borrow the "History of Our Ritual" powerpoint from the Audio-Visual library to present. And we may have a phlea-phlam too, and a raffle.
Ideas?

*bump*
I'm bumping this up because I'd like some suggestions for themes for Province Days. I want to come up w/ several to present to the chapter at the beginning of the year.
I was thinking, since most likely our local alum chapter (Jonesboro Alumnae) will be either cohosting it or helping us with it, that we could have a theme about SAI not just being for college, but for your whole life. I've noticed in our Province, there's a HUGE percentage of sisters who never affiliate w/ an alum chapter after college, and I think that's sad. Our alums will probably be providing a potluck dinner for the first night, and I was thinking of having one of the alums speak about SAI after college. What do you guys think? What could that theme be called?
And any other themes you might have, I'd love to hear them!

Province Day
We hosted Upsilon A and B Province Day this year at Nu Chapter, and it was awesome!
Our theme was SAI 101. We hosted sessions on the Songbook, Ritual, Philanthropy, Music Therapy lead by our featured guest Yvonne Glass May, and a special session for MITs (since our Province Day was in the Spring, we all had MITs). The Philanthropy session was neat because it was an open discussion about what other chapters had done for philanthropy, and we learned through others all the opportunities available through SAI Philanthropies. One thing that I thought was neat was that we actually did opening and closing ritual. We also did SAI Jeopardy, which would have been neat if it was more organized. I'm sure your Province Day will be fantastic! Definately contact the alumnae chapters in your province. Not only are they an important asset to SAI, they may also be able to provide financial assistance in offsetting any incurred costs from Province Day. Good luck!

That's a great theme! I'll keep that one handy. Especially since a lot of sisters don't even realize all of what SAI encompasses, y'know?
I'm guessing, by your name, you are an Alpha Chi as well? That's cool, since they were founded as a music sorority, and you're an SAI too. Neat!
Make sure to check in the Chapter Roll Call thread, and the SAI Survey Says thread, and the What Do You Do Musically thread, so we can get to know you. Welcome to GC!
