i saw her on BET last night (i think it was last night ) and she was a lot more soft-spoken than i would have imagined.... She almost seemed nervous. Ms. Bassett is really an excellent actress. Since she plays every black woman in every movie (her and Halle -- lmao) -- I am happy she does such an excellent job. I look forward to her portrayal of Ms. Parks.

Angela, it was the 1960's, not 2002...lmao
Angela had some 'tude on that bus. Angela must be confused, because I think she forgot that this happened in the 60's not 2002. LMAO!
I don't know if Rosa had it in her. She seems (Rosa) so meek and gentle.

I believe she did an excellent job in portraying Rosa Parks. I'm sure that she did an indepth research on her character so that she can accurately depict the events that took place (which would include her "tude). I like it so far. It's very interesting and educational. I've learned more than I already thought I knew.

She does, doesn't she? Girl, you know whatever role Angela Bassett plays, she always puts some stank on it! LOL! How about her telling that first bus driver "Don't you put your hands on me!" I was like "Whoa".
But, I loved the story, it was so touching. Angie B acted her behind off. Dexter Scott King also did a good job.

I liked the movie very much. The scene that tripped me out was when rosa registered to vote and that lady put her through so much. She was finding every excuse to refuse her registration. But then Rosa came back with a wiser technique. Well anyway, Angela did a great job in this movie, along with all her other ones.

i may be mistaken, but when she (Angela) was being interviewed on BET she made comment of how, after having spoken with Ms. Parks, she realized that it was exactly like that...
Apparently, Rosa had had issues with that driver before and she was just fed up. That she did what she did ON PURPOSE and how it was not as mild an act as we usually hear. Ms. Parks was tired... but she was more pissed than tired.

I thought the movie was excellent (well except when Rosa and her hubby were about to ......you know. something bout Rosa doing her thang is like thinkin my grandma does her thang.)!!! I was happy to know that Ms. Parks was a member of the NAACP and was already working towards the goal of equality. The best secn however was towards the end when her husband was listening to the younger man, older man and lady talk outside of th store. The older man said he was tired too, his soul was tired but now it was at rest.
The movie was so inspriational and put things into perspective as to what we should be doing today. We need to keep fighting the good fight!!!

Soror Parks v. Outkast
Civil rights pioneer Rosa Parks has authorized her doctor to release medical records and explain why the 91-year-old cannot testify in a lawsuit she brought against hip-hop group OutKast, her lawyers said Thursday.
