Cool That sandal time of the year..

Although I don't wear sandals or flippies, I thought I'd pass this on to the ladies.
**************************************************
It is that time again Can we all take the pledge, please???
Hey Ladies,
It's that time again ............... Thank goodness! Just a friendly
reminder, it's that time of the year again.
Please raise your big toes and repeat after me:
As a member of the Faux Paul Sisterhood, I pledge to follow The Rules when I wear sandals and other open-toe shoes:

I promise to always wear sandals that fit. My toes will not hang over and touch the ground, nor will my heels spill over the backs. And the sides andtops of my feet will not purge out between the straps.

I will go polish-free or vow to keep the polish fresh, intact and
chip-free.

I will not cheat and just touch up my big toe.

I will sand down any mounds of skin before they turn hard and yellow - or grate them with that cheese grater looking thing.
I will shave the hairs off my big toe-better yet, I will get them layered so they never ever come back!

I won't wear pantyhose even if my delusional girlfriend, coworker, mother, sister tells me the toe seam really will stay under my toes if I tuck it there. NO NO NO.

If a strap breaks, I won't duct-tape, pin, glue or tuck it back into place hoping it will stay put. I will get my shoe fixed or toss it.

I will not live in corn denial; rather I will lean on my good friend Dr.
Scholl's if my feet need him.

I will resist the urge to buy jelly shoes at Payless for the low, low price of $4.99 even if my feet are small enough to fit into the kids' sizes. This is out of concern for my safety, and the safety of others. No one can walk properly when standing in a pool of sweat and I would hate to take someone down with me as I fall and break my ankle.

I will take my toe ring off toward the end of the day if my toes swell and begin to look like Vienna sausages.

I will be brutally honest with my girlfriend/sister/coworker when she asks me if her feet are too ugly to wear sandals. Someone has to tell her that her toes look like they've been dragged behind her car on the way to work and no sandal in the world is going to make her feet look good.

I will promise if I wear flip flops, that I will ensure they actually flip
and flop, making the correct noise while walking and I will swear NOT to slide or drag my feet while wearing them.

I will promise to go to my neighborhood nail salon at least twice a month and have a real pedicure (they are about $15 and worth EVERY penny). I say spend another $15.00 and get an even better one.

I will promise to throw away any white/off-white sandals that show signs of wear...nothing is tackier than dirty white sandals.
For all our sakes, please don't keep this to yourself pass it on to other Sisters. May God Bless your Soles as well as your Soul

Pass this along!

I broke one of these rules last year and everyone made fun of me. I wore hose with dressy sandals to my cousin's wedding. I will not break that rule again after the teasing I got last year.

I'll admit it.

I broke a rule.

I only touched up my big toe. But it's not my fault. I was late for work and didn't have time to redo my polish.

I promise on my life that I will fix it when I get home tonight.

Well, you can wear pantyhose as long as they are the toeless kind. They are made for those events where you must wear pantyhose but you want to wear open-toed shoes.

I admit that I only get a pedicure once a month. They're too expensive around here. $30-40 each time...blah.

I have never seen toeless pantyhose. Is there a specific brand. I wore hose and sandals because I am very pale.

Bloomingdale's carries them. There's a brand called Spanx (I think that's how it's spelled) that has footless and toeless pantyhose. There's a few other brands out there that I can't think of off the top of my head that have pantyhose which are made for sandals.

Okay, here's my issue.

If you're wearing a summer dress, you don't need to wear pantyhose.

If you're wearing a suit or a dress that requires pantyhose, then you SHOULD NOT be wearing sandles.

It's as simple as that.

I'm thinking of an afternoon wedding or Sunday Church during the summer or something that requires you to be in a place of worship. I always wear pantyhose when I attend Temple. I don't put on a really fancy dress to go to Temple. During the summer, I will wear a sundress (with a cardigan sweater of course!). A sundress just doesn't look right with closed-toe shoes but I've always had to wear closed-toe shoes since you can't wear pantyhose with sandals. My friend gave me an idea of cutting the toe part off all my pantyhose but halfway through the day...HELLO RUNS all the way up to my knees.
I think this is where the toeless or footless pantyhose would come in handy.

ETA:
Here's a picture of some toeless pantyhose that I found:

re: toeless pantyhose

They only work with pants, not skirts - it's rather odd-looking when your toes are a different color than your legs. I've seen women push the end of their "nude" Spanx under the top of the sandal so that the stockings cover the ankle, with bare toes sticking out of the other end of the sandal. Scary.

Ditto to Lady Pi Phi.

So I'm assuming this is lazered? When I first read it, all I could think about what the layered Jennifer Aniston haircut, and I almost died laughing.

Now I have no idea what to do. I like to wear sandals or open toe shoes with dresses or skirts when it is warm. Is that wrong?

I found these toeless pantyhose. They look like an option. There isn't a scary contrast between the toes and the feet.

Ok, normally I am super-obsessed with how my feet look in sandals... But, for the first (and hopefully only) time in my life, I cannot SEE my feet much less paint my toenails... My mother-in-law painted them sheer pink for Easter. But, it's all off now I think.

I am getting a pedicure before I go to the hospital in four weeks.

Seeing my feet again will be one of the best things about not being pregnant!
