quick question...are those online places that let you register/make your own webpages in exchange for money reputable, or is this a rip off and should I call a real web designer?

Most of them are a rip-off. They say you can make anything you want, but limit you to the templates they created, and usually throw ads on your site. I run a small business development firm, and would like to help get your site up and running. Contact me if you would like to discuss this further.
