Where to go??
So, I've decided that I am going somewhere for spring break this year. But, I do NOT want to go somewhere cliche like Cancun or Florida. I wanna go somewhere cool and different, but I don't have any idea WHERE. Me and about 3 others will be going. I don't want to go somewhere to party all week, or to lay on the beach the whole time (part of the time, perhaps). I'd rather go SEE things. Does anyone have any suggestions??

Agreed!!! What a beautiful place; I fell in love with it when I visited there.
Virginia Beach is also fun and there are good things to see as well as beaches and places to go out.

I think you may have posted somewhere that you are coming to NY but NY has a lot of good places to go in the early spring and summer. There are beaches nearby and the night life is wonderful. Everything is easily accessible by public transportation. You can hit the beaches in Long Island by taking the LIRR. (Long Island Railroad). There are also some nice forests and parks in upstate NY an hour or so North of the city.

Go to south beach. It's so clean. There is clear water, nice beaches, beautiful people, great food. I'm just trying to figure out what I would do for a longer period of time but that seems like you'd enjoy it.

Veracruz, Mexico.....it's Mexico's city of music, a little touristy, but not bad, beach, music, lots of restaraunts...it's the birthplace of the song "La Bamba" over 200 years ago!

Go to Clearwater Beach, FL. It doesn't have the spring break party scene you'd find elsewhere in FL, and you can sightsee as well. If you did want to go to a bar or club, Tampa is only a 20 min. drive, and there are a few low-key bars on Clearwater beach. Busch Gardens is in Tampa, you could go down to Ft. DeSoto and tour the fort, lay on one of the top 10 beaches in the country in Sand Key, or get some great shopping in at one of the area's many many malls!
