Tears cause I am a mother..

Ok...so today is going to be a weepy day for me.

My daughter gets on a plane bound for Fort Jackson, SC to start her basic training at 1:45 pm today.

I can't tell you the conflicting emotions I am experiencing. Pride that she has come this far, worry for her young marriage being separated so far so soon, saddness that she *isn't* by baby girl anymore, concern for the physical and emotional stress she will be undergoing during her Basic Combat Training.

WAH....I know I am going to get all teary at the airport.

I need a hug!!!

Anyone in or near Fort Jackson, SC? We will there in late August for her graduation.

(((((((((sageofages)))))))

My mom told me she cried when she dropped me off at college the first time (it was 4 states away).

Just remember that you have done your best to raise her into a young woman and just tust God to protect her while she's far way.

Sorry that it's long distance.....

We're not in SC, but how close is Atlanta to the state line? (Still figuring out the distances....)

You're in my thoughts and prayers, SOA

You have many shoulders to cry on. You must have done a good job raising her, and I know you are very proud of her. Moms never stop worrying about their children.

I'll be dealing with something similar in a couple of years when my 1st son goes to college. It's hard to imagine how fast the time goes by!

I'm sending you a PM.
