Try hitting up Campus Classics ( www.campus-classics.com)... I know that they should have a tie...
... and yep they still do...

Campus Classics has two ties to choose from. The original "old school" version that looks like it was made for an English prep school has alternative purple/green/gold striping ($47.95) .
A new version is also available, AND IT'S ON SALE!!! This patterned tie features a green/gold Cross & Crescent on a purple background.
Campus Classics has made the 2nd version for other groups, also, but theirs aren't "on sale" for 1/3 off (now $23.99). Maybe ours isn't selling that well & they're trying to get 'em off of their shelves.
It could also be that the domestic silk's not as big of an attraction as the silk that's prepped in the UK. At least it's an option.
ZAX,
Bill F.

I was very lucky when I was in the Rag Business that I saw a tie that I fell in love with and is the only one I wear now.
Met Tom H at a Regional and said, nice tie, A Lion Rampant!
Never really hit me until then! Dark Blue with Gold Lions Rampant all over it!
Guess which is my Fav Tie!
Goes well with My Blue Blazer with Coat of Arms on it!

got the new tie in today. its pretty cool. I look forward to wearing it and having all the guys in my colony oogle it and tell me that I should give it to them. LOL. Then, being a crafty High Pi, I'll tell the guys that I'll buy one for each guy that makes a 4.0GPA in the fall semester. If 10 guys made the 4.0, it ould be a great investment.

Many years ago BN12 gave me a really, really, nice coat-of-arms patch and I wore it on my blazer for a long time. As I recall it had gold (not yellow) threads.
In 1992 I passed it on to BN433 following the devastating turn of events at G.A. [That's a Helmbock story and I'd rather not go there now].
Suffice it to say that Jimbo should still have it. It's a real nice Coat-of-Arms. The ones they make today aren't nearly as well made.
BTW, wasn't one offered in the Cross & Crescent at one time - embroidered on a pure white silk background, or something like that? It was quite expensive so I didn't get it but I can still picture it. May have been back in the '70s.
Does anyone remember that?
In ZAX,
Jono

I've seen the old ads in the Cross & Cresents at the house library... I believe it was primarily a mid to late 70s thing.
However as much as it pains me to say this: if you want a good blazer coat-of-arms it should be to hard with the technology in embroidery these days... there was a company in Ottawa that scanned my old Regimental badge and embroidered it onto a blazer (silver stitch and all). If you can find a high quality - high detail image you should be able to find a custom emboidery outfit that could handle it (mind you there could be a minimum order).

I wore mine for the first time on Friday night to the Alumni Association Annual Meeting and got compliments on it.
