I was disappointed... thought they did a poor job on the majority of the characters.

I probably wasn't as disappointed. Partly because I wasn't watching the whole thing extremely attentively. And also because lord knows I hadn't read the book in so long, I really didn't remember what happened.
I thought Calvin wasn't the best casting decision. But I do like Alfre Woodard in damn near whatever she's in.

I was pleased with the 3 women, but disappointed in the casting for Meg and Calvin... and the wierd kid from the Ring freaks me out. Everytime he smiled I said, "Andrew, the wierd kid is smiling again.... he can't do that." I realize it was already a 3 hour movie, but I thought the character development sucked. I loved the book, and I'm always a purist when it comes to movies from books...

A Wrinkle in Time was my favorite book when I was in middle school. I thought about watching it but The Swan was on.

That was what that kid was from! I was wondering why he creeped me out so much.
I only saw the last 1/2 hour. It wasn't that exciting.

I taped the movie and haven't had a chance to watch it yet. I read the book in middle school but I don't remember much about it. May have to pick it up again.
