Kentucky Derby
I can't wait for the Derby Saturday. In my opinion, it is one of the most exciting events in sports. I've got my money on Lionheart (c'mon, how great is that name). Anyways this is the one time of year I wish I lived in Kentucky.

I am so homesick right now for Louisville, I can't see straight. There is absolutely nothing as wonderful as Derby Week!

My brother is going for free. He took a job for some guy running for the House, and I think the Derby was offered to get him to take the job. I'm so envious, I have to watch on tv.

I was in home in Louisville on Derby Day, but not at the Downs. My sister was there though and got my capri's all muddy. I love being from Louisville during the two weeks leading up to the Derby, too bad I missed Thunder over Louisville this year.

Yep, how about Smarty Jones? This is one time when picking the horse with the best name worked!

lol... he's who I picked too! But I picked because he's never lost a race. Not so much on the name.
In all honesty, I would have loved if Imperialism won. Just cuz I was rooting for that coach.

i had to watch it at work.....i was soooo cheerin for lion heart b/c he had it the WHOLE way....but then smarty jones came up and there ya go.....but that's the derby and smarty jones has a sweet story, so it's ok. it's the one thing all year long that everyone in Kentucky stops for for 2 minutes. love the derby!
and i missed thunder, too, sigma3.....it's been a few years since i've gone, though. maybe next year.
