Question Question for the ADPis

Sorry to crash your board, but I just read that the ADPi chapter at Washington State closed. Is that true?

I am happy to say that I have just spoken to a sister at Washington State University, and they are most certainly OPEN!!!!!

They are in the process of COB, and I'd like to ask all Greek Chat ADPi's to encourage them:

Alpha Delta Pi, Upsilon Chapter
725 NE Linden Avenue
Pullman, WA 99163

You go, Sisters!!!

Again, clarifying that WSU ADPi is not closed. They are currently in the process of COR/COB and taking on new members Currently, the chapter house is undergoing some repair work, so the live-in members were being put up at an off campus hotel until the furnace was back in order. I wonder if that's where the confusion might be.

Fun Fact: The WSU chapter is a single letter chapter (Upsilon) and it was chartered when ADPi was known as Alpha Delta Phi!!! In fact, the old ADPhi crest is prominent in the house and ADPhi letters on a historic pin exhibit in the house. There's a lot of history there The Upsilon chapter was originally a local sorority, and some of those historic pins are on display, too. If you're ever in Pullman, check it out! I love the chapter there-- I've yet to see another group of collegiate women who know each other so well. They have an amazing history and they'll be happy to give you a tour and explain chapter traditions, like how they have named the rooms in the house, including the "Rock Room."

It's good to hear they are still at WSU and are doing well! My friend's sister was an ADPi at WSU. I've never been to their house, though. It sounds pretty cool!

Thank you all for supporting Upsilon! Its been going through a very hard time. This summer a bunch of the alums (and husbands and friends...) are coming back to completely update the house.

We are going to paint, bring in new furniture, and completely upgrade the place. You will all have to come check it out when its done (and of course see the rock room...). Until then, please feel free to check the new website http://upsilonadpi.org It shows all the improvements that are going to be made over the summer.

The chapter is a wonderful group of women (I finally got to meet them at Founder's Weekend this year) and really need lots of support to get the chapter back up to its original glory!

Thanks again!!

I am a Interior Designer and I checked out the proposal and it all sounds lovely. I would love to see pictures after it is all completed. It really sounds like you got yourself a good consultant so that is wonderful. I wish I was in the area to come and help out, but I am stuck in Ohio lol. Good Luck and if you ever have any questions feel free to email or message me on here and Ill be glad to give any advice. I think it is going to turn out wonderful though.

Upsilon IS NOT closed

Upsilon was threatened to be closed a couple years ago, but it is still up and running! And thus far, there is no reason for Upsilon TO close in the near future!
