Question stupid question

I was just curious if you can be in Alpha Phi Omega and a sorority... I had been thinking about rushing APO since I am very involved in community service, but I pledged/initiated into Pi Beta Phi this spring. Sorry if this is a stupid q...

No Problem.

Sure. Since Alpha Phi Omega is not a member of the NPC, women may join both Pi Beta Phi and Alpha Phi Omega.

Our founder, Frank Reed Horton was a brother of Sigma Alpha Epsilon Fraternity and remained a brother in good standing while forming Alpha Phi Omega. In total of our 14 founders, 8 were also members of Sigma Alpha Epsilon, another 5 were brothers of a local fraternity at Lafayette and one more was not a member of any social greek organization.

Good luck! From what I understand, the chapter at Wash U is pretty strong and does a lot of service.

You absolutely can. When I was an active member, our president one semester was also a member of Phi Sigma Kappa. We also had members who were in Sigma Kappa, Delta Zeta, and Sigma Delta Tau.

Good luck!
