I know it's been out for a while, but I was wondering had anyone seen it. I just saw it tonight and it was hilarious. The interactions between Hanks' character and the Irma P. Hall character are classic. You are not going to hear alot about this film, but it is really good. Especially if you were born and raised in the South and went to a small Black church with your Big momma, you are gonna love this film !!!!!!
The soundtrack is nice as well, as they mix some classic gospel songs (Thomas Dorsey, Sam Cook and the Soul Stirrers)with some contemporary gospel (Donnie McClurken) along with a little hip-hop (from the Nappy Roots). You can hear samples of the songs on the official movie website
http://ladykillers.movies.go.com/main.html. This movie is worth paying for and the soundtrack is worth having if you are like me, longing for artifacts of authentic Black Culture.
