Positive Image of Greeks Portrayed on TV

I did a search and couldn't find anything. If I missed it, I am sorry, but let's not get our knickers in a twist about it

I just caught the end of the show Sister, Sister and from what I gathered, one of the girls (I'm not sure if it was Tia or Tamara) was interested in pledgeing a sorority and Ray (the "Dad") was pressuring her to pledge Alpha Kappa Alpha and the "mom" was pressuring her to pledge Delta Sigma Theta. Ray was also wearing an Alpha Phi Alpha sweatshirt at the end of the show.

Anyway, what I thought was positive in this show was that one of twin's boyfriend wanted to "fake" pledge a fraternity called Gamma Psi to write and expose about fraternities and how bad they were. To his surprise there was no hazing, and this guy could not write his expose because there was nothing bad to expose. It was nice at the end when one of the brothers of "Gamma Psi" gave a little speech about the meaning of fraternity and it's brotherhood.

I just thought I'd share this with GC. It's nice to finally see a show on TV that says good things about fraternities.

I didn't see the show, but I am happy to hear that at least there was that speech. I wish that MTV would have done the same!

I don't know if it was on the disney channel or not. I caught the tail end of the episode on CFMT, a tv station in Toronto.

I'd like to watch th entire episode, and I'm a little upset I missed most of it. I didn't know it was on.

I have heard about this episode, too, as a matter of fact. I'd like to see it, especially since I was told that Tim Reid isn't a Brother (though his son definitely is).

I really wish more shows would show Greeks in a positive light. 90210 tried, often failed, but they did try.

They usually repeat the day's show late at night if you want to catch this particular one.

I have my Tivo set to record any show that has the word "sorority" in its description.

I've seen some pretty silly (but harmless) episodes of Mr. Ed (yes, the talking horse!) and also the Munsters.

Coming up:
Clean Sweep - 4/18
the Girls on the Beach (movie) - 4/26 on AMC
Makeover Story - 4/26

I have seen this episode. It's good for a positive greek representation. It was just on the other day. Check this weekend and next weekend because Disney tends to replay shows from the week during the weekend or weekend after.
