Hoosier
I dunno, it may be because i'm new, but it seems to me like Hoosier never posts anything positive-- just runs down other peoples GLO's. We all have bad chapters out there, and I'm sure his GLO has some bad chapter out there too, and he woudln't appreciate it if people constanly posted every bad little thing that ever happened in one of its random chapters. I think we need to focus on the positive of the Greek system, not the negative. We need to let people know how great it is and build it up instead of focusing on the negatives all the time. Nothing personal, Hoosier, and I do think it's important to inform people, but I think there are other ways then to run down organizations and dig up dirt on them. Just to be fair, are you an equal opportunity poster? Do you post negative articals about your own GLO or just everybody else's? Again, nothing personal, and I'm not trying to start anything or run you down, just wondering.
Thanks,
Missy Fan

You're not the first one to complain, so it could be because you are new.
I don't really pay much attention to his posts anymore, but once in a while I'll read them just to see what's going on. I'm in no way defending the guy, but I have read other posts from him -- ones that don't always include a copied and pasted article.
I really really really really hate it when people blow too much sunshine up people's butts. If you focus too much on the positive, oftentimes people forget the negative. By doing that you're refusing to acknowledge that there is a problem, and it's then that they don't get resolved.
You will find 2349823648734 other positive posts about Greeks in our community, you just won't find them from hoosier.
But then again, I'd rather read his stuff than posts about being exorcised online...or posts from stupid people who post their sexual histories, fetishes, and habits on GC. I'd take hoosier over those idiot TMI people any day.
If push comes to shove, there's always that great IGNORE button, dahling.

This brings up a debate:
Which can you tolerate more, hoosier's negativity or Tom Earps.......WTF you want to call that.

I have no problem with Hoosier. He's just posting news articles (yeah, he chooses provocative articles sometimes). It's not what he writes. Now, occasionally I've seen the title be a little of color or in poor taste, etc.. However, I can't think of many folks on here that couldn't have been accused of poor taste from time to time.
From what I know of him, he really does have the best intentions for the Greek community and when I've seen him post his actual opinion on something, I've nearly always agreed.
Unfortunately, news is news.
I've repeated this saying a few times, but it's been a few months, so most of y'all forgot it:
If you have a car with three perfect tires and one that is flat, which tire is newsworthy?
-- that's just how news works.

Also, the posts hoosier makes, while not positive in their content, provide us with what is going on in the Greek Community. Yes, we all have bad chapters, but to not talk about them is to delude ourselves that the Greek Community is all good, and we all know, it isn't. As OTW said, ignore

DeltaSigStan, I think we need a separate pledge drive going.
Just like on PBS....for a donation of $25, one can get a plain white sheet. For just five dollars more, we can put the eye holes in it for you.
What do you think?
