I can't believe this has never been discussed! Anywho, moving on

I FINALLY saw this movie last week. It was on BET, so I still need to see the uncut version. Has anyone else seen it? What did you think? I loved the movie.

The movie is about "sell-outs" and a group of people (called the Drop Squad) who kidnap the sell-outs and "drop" (deprogram) them; try to make them "ideal" Black citizens, if you will.

On to the topic of my thread.

If you could "drop" anyone (meaning deprogram a "sell-out"), who would you drop?

Have you ever felt like you needed to be "dropped"? Basically, have you ever had to check yourself?

There have been a few times when I needed to be dropped. Not because I "sold out" but because I looked at people from lower socio-economic backgrounds unfavorably.

i thought this movie was the craziest thing i had ever seen!! i sat there the whole time like .

at first, i thought it was a crazy, keenan ivory wayans-type production (like "i'm gonna get you sucka") or chris rock-type of movie (like "cb4") and i liked to fell out of my chair when i saw ozzie davis and his beautiful-to-this-day wife, ruby dee, commenting on how wonderful a movie it was!! (i saw it on upn as one of the african-american heritage movies)

I can't speak for PointNClick, but I would add Kim because she is like a walking billboard for these white designers, and she seems to have this attitude like "I can wear it, ya'll can't afford it."

Orenthal. There was a New Yorker article showing that he still doesn't get it.

On the private tip, I'd agree that drug dealers and other perpetrators of black-on-black crime need a dropping.
