I dont' know if all of these are "slogans", but they were associated with McDonald's commercials and jingles.

1) Two all beef patties, special sauce, lettuce, cheese, pickle onion on a sesame seed bun!

2) Food, folks, and fun!

3) When the clock strikes, half past six baby. Time to head for the golden lights. Hey! It's a good time, for the great taste--dinner-- at McDonald's. It's Mac tonight! (sung to the tune of mack the Knife).

Together...McDonalds and you. (1982-85)
It's a good time for the great taste of McDonalds (1985-88)
Good time, great taste [that's why this is our place]--or some variation thereof (1988-90)
What you want is what you get at McDonald's today (1990-92)

Oh, and I just gotta show yall the famous McDonald's menu song from 1988. How many of yall remember this and/or can or could sing the song ALL THE WAY THROUGH??!

RM, I KNEW you would post some that I had forgotten!!!!! Do you remember they had a contest with that song? One week, in the Sunday paper, they had a little record, a 45, and it had the whole song on there, and if you won, it told you at the end of the song? 'Member that? I played that record over and over and over...

"Big Mac, McDLT, Quarter Pounder with some cheese..."

But I don't remember anything after the first line. I think I suffer from the same type of memory lapses as OA.

Let's keep 'em comin' people, keep 'em 'comin . . .

Ideal08:

I know exactly what you're talking about:

Big Mac, McDLT, a Quarter Pounder with some cheese, Filet o' Fish, a Hamburger, Cheeseburger, Happy Meal, McNuggets, tasty Golden French Fries, regular and larger size(?), a salad chef or garden, or a chicken salad oriental, big big breakfast, hot hot cakes.....

I forgot the rest but you took me back with that one. As you can see, I played many a record in my day. They never made it to the end though.

*Picking up where you left off in the song, Lil bit...*

...and sausage, maybe biscuits, bacon egg and cheese or sausage, danish, hash browns, too, and for dessert hot apple pies, and sundaes three varieties, there's also three cool kinds of shakes*, and chocolate chip cookies, and a drink, a Coca-Coca, Diet Coke, an orange drink and Sprite, and coffee, decaf too, a lowfat milk also and orange juice. I love McDonalds, good time, great place, and I get this all at one place.

Yes, I remember the record. Matter of fact, the link I posted come straight off the record.

*the wording of the description of the shakes (three cool kinds of shakes) may not be 100% accurate, as they were just going a little too fast for me to catch, but everything else should be right.

One of three things that I see from this thread!!

Either.....

You love to eat at McDonalds
You were employed at McDonalds
You love jingles...so you will write the next one for McDonalds!!

Since you're going back in the day of McDonald's how many characters do you remember??

The answer is... I LOVE JINGLES! I really do! I would love to work for an advertising agency! And WHY did you ask the question to the McDonald's Thread Part Two that I was thinking of?! It must be that Soror Vibe.

Characters I remember: Ronald, Grimace, Hamburgler, The Fry Guys, and Birdie. Would kids today know who we were talking about if we said any of these names??

No Soror - kids would not remember those characters today..... Kids now-a-days get the big meals like grown-ups!!!

But I tell you what...since you got them all (The Characters)
go and buy some FRIES!!!

They are the BEST - no matter what part of the country you're in

Question How many can you list?

McDonald's has had as many slogans as the Sphinxpoet has fans. How many can you remember? Everytime they come out with a new one, I forget the one that was IMMEDIATELY before it!! Is that not a shame?

So list them off, I really want to reminisce and bask in the nostalgia.

1) We love to see you smile
