I was just wondering if any of you have had a chance to go to the Crown Royal Comedy Soul Festival. It's the one with musical performances by Earth, Wind & Fire (gotta love them...) and the Isley Brothers (baby-making tunes ), and comedy by Bruce Bruce, Adele Givens, Ricky Smiley, etc...

My sweetie and I are going tomorrow and I was just wondering if anyone had a review. It seems like it should be a good show.

The bomb! We had too much fun.

EWF were phenomenal. Phillip Bailey must have sold his soul to the devil to still be hitting those notes like that. Verdeen is still a fool, jumping around the stage like he's seven.

The Isley's were the bomb, too! "Mr. Big" cut up as usual, changed clothes making a total of two fly suits, two bad a$$ hats and two floor length fur coats. Why is he the biggest pimp ever?

Adele Givens was her usual trifling self. I'm not really a big fan of hers, but I guess she was aight.

Ricky Smiley was HILARIOUS! I love him! He had me cracking up. And he didn't talk about Lil' Darryl once...

We missed the first two comedians because, as usual, we were on CPT.



So, if this tour comes near you, I highly recommend grabbing some tickets and checking it out!
