Is anyone going to Convention this year?

DG Convention is from June 24-28 in Washington, DC (well, technically Arlington, VA). Is anyone going? I really want to go, as I want to further educate myself about Delta Gamma, despite that USD$ and Canadian$ exchange rate (which is killer for Canadians).

Is anyone going to go? Chime forth!

I sent in a volunteer form and just got a response back today. But if I happen to become a CDC I'll be there anyway. I want to go either way you look at it since it is my chapter's 125th anniv. and plus I'm really interested to see what convention is like and meet other DGs!

Sorry to crash, but they picked a great place for a convention. I used to work in the same office plaza that the Marriott Crystal Gateway is. You are in walking distance from the Fashion Centre at Pentagon City and you can get to the Crystal City Metro Station without even going outside. (Metro is the subway)

If you are flying into National Airport (they might call it Ronald Reagan but it is still National to me), you are less than a 5 minute subway ride to your hotel...

Here is a map to the subway. Hope this helps

Just want y'all to know that you got me homesick!

If you need any DC area info, I will be happy to help

Homesick Jill

I really want to go, but it'd be too expensive for this poor DG...

I just got my Anchora today and the schedule is listed in there along with prices and everything. I sent in a Volunteer form and got a response but I'm not sure what I'll need to pay for even if I'm volunteering....

AGD is having theirs in Chicago too. Maybe you can meet some AGDs from GC?

Its the winter 2004 edition. It has Martha Cheely Brown on the front cover. I am probably the first to get it since I only live 2 and a half hours north of Columbus.... Keep watching the mailbox....it'll come soon!

LOL, Marie, its fine to ask that question. Alpha Gamma Delta representatives meet with each convention delegate individually to ensure that they actually are who they say they are, and that they are truly Alpha Gamma Deltas.

Of course, I can't tell you HOW we confirm this, because then I'd have to kill you.

Hey!
I plan on going to retreat this summer in DC. I am really excited about it. I just attended the Navigating For Success convention and had a blast. I can just imagine what this one will be like! I am a little confused on all the going ons, but I am sure it will be a experience I will never forget. A girl wanted to come with me. What exactly is the information for volunteers?

I think the DC area alumnae are putting things together. You can go to their webpage, it's www.wdcdeltagamma.org. They have a convention info page on there.
