What Was Your Minor?
Since we know what everyone's major was, let's discuss what we minored in (if we had a minor). Did you find your minor useful post-graduation?
I minored in Sociology.
I find it useful everyday life. It really opened my eyes and helped me to see why people are the way they are. It made me understand people more.

My minor is German. It helps me in my everyday life. I'm doing History and International Buisness. I had to have German as a minor, the company I'm going to do an internship with is based in Essen. The only downside to doing a foreign language, I often find myself speaking the literal translation of something from German to English. It makes me feel like a caveman.

My minor was Management Information Systems (MIS). I find it helpful in my current line of work because we tend to use lots of databases and other programs that I dealt with in my minor.

I minored in French. I like it. If I don't qualify for this program that would give me a teaching certificate and a master's with my current major, I'm going to turn my minor into a major and do that instead.

Shakespeare
I had two minors; one was Shakespeare. Really. I'm more impressed with the Kappa at the top of the board who minored in Combinatronics and Optimization. What is that (those)?!

I'm minoring in education right now, but that's only because my school doesn't offer a major in education. (Although it has an excellent master's program for education.) I'm majoring in Developmental Psychology which is at least related... I plan to get my masters in early childhood education, so I will be using my minor in the future.

Criminology & Criminal Justice-- not that I want to do anything with it, I just thought it was interesting at the time... looking back probably should have chosen something more relative to my major but too late now!

Criminology, which as interesting as it is, holds even less significance for me as my Sociology major.

My minor was Theology.
I knew full well that there would be no other time in my life where I could study religion for the heck of it. And having attended public schools all of my life until college, I knew nothing about religions other than Christianity. So, I learned a LOT about Islam, a little about Jewish scriptures, a good deal about African and African American religions (voodoo, santeria, candomble'), Ancient Egyptian religion, and mythology.
I will probably never have any practical use for this knowledge, but I feel as though it has made me more well-rounded.
And I do think I grew spiritually by learning about so many religions.

Asian-Pacific studies. I still can't believe my school makes us take a minor if we're not in the Liberal Studies program.
