Boule Issues
Ok here is my issue, I am worried about the overflow hotel situation. I most likely will not be in the host hotel. Would that be a problem being away from the action? Will I need a car rental?

Okay, I know you weren't talking to me, but maybe this will help some.
We're also having our Boule this year, and we already have reservations at a designated overflow hotel. That hotel will have shuttle service to and from the activities. Hopefully your hotel will have the same, especially if it is an 'authorized' overflow hotel. We're not renting cars or anything, but maybe if there's some place you need to go, there will be other shuttle buses or public transportation you can take.

After looking at the list I don't think any of the overflow hotels are very far away. I know there is shuttle set up for those staying at the Hyatt. Roosevelt is right around the corner and within walking distance to the Renaissance.

Thanks for the advice but I have since made reservations at a hotel literally around the corner from the host hotel. Its not the official overflow hotel, but at $80 bucks a night, its good enough for me.

I haven't booked my room yet. I'm still trying to figure out how I'm going to finance it all. LOL.

Hey Soror,
This is Reba of Alpha Psi Zeta Chapter, the host chapter of this year's Boule. I am not sure if you got your answer to the question but from what they said in the meeting and online, there will be a shuttle that takes you from the other two hotels to the main one. As far as anything else is concerned, I know there is two Blue and White weekends planned, One June 24-27 and the other the weekend after Boule. I am not sure if you will be there for this though... If you do not plan on going places like maybe Disney Land or something like that, you may not need car rental. I do not have a car here yet there are plenty of trains, and buses going everywhere in Los Angeles. Let me know if you need anything else. I am only a Neo but i know a little something something.

Hey Soror,
Well, actually since this writing, I have the opportnity to stay in the host hotel. However, I did rent a car b/c I don't want to be dependent on shuttles. Plus I plan the take all of the sights in and go to Six Flags Magic Mountain....Yipee!!!

Hey sorors
If you are planning on going to Magic Mountain and want tickets please let me know. If you buy them at the park... they are about $50 a piece. If you want me to get them for you during Boule hey look me up. Like I said I am in the host chapter and you can not miss me because I will be working there. If i buy them from my job or school they are 23.00.l... You can also reach me at reba.jazz1@earthlink.net

I too was worried about this so I just rented a car anyway. Besides my mother and son will be with me and we plan to go to California Disney, etc. I believe I rented from Dollar Rent a Car at LAX. It came to $117 for the entire week with unlimited mileage. If you go on the site,it's cheaper than calling them.
