Tell Beautiful Women they are Beautiful?

I am of the belief that flattery is a wonderful thing. But is there a point to flattering the obvious?

Lets say you were dating a truly aesthetically good looking woman . . . someone that has gotten external validation through say pageants and/or modeling . . .

Is there any real point in telling them that they are attractive? I mean they have got to know it already. Will they even appreciate the compliment?

And it's such an unreal feeling waking up to "Good Morning, Beautiful..." every morning.

Every girl likes to hear that. However, I do beleive there is such a thing as saying to too much. It loses meaning if you say it all the time.

Kinda like flowers...if a guy gave/sent you flowers all the time it wouldn't be as special...I had a bf like that once...I was like Ugh! Flowers again...it got annoying. I mean it was nice but c'mon think of something else for a change.

Thankfully that's not true for me. I still get the warm fuzzies everytime I hear it.

Though I don't really believe it, to him Beautiful=Sandy and that's what matters.

Yes, always - even if you're on AOL and you say "hey beautiful!"

Women, I don't care who they are need to hear that. Unless, you tell her every 5 minutes.....then you need to tone it down.

Q) Does using the word gorgeous instead of beautiful have exact same weight/effect?

I think gorgeous can sound a little cheesy unless you are truly amazed one evening by how she looks (most likely dressed up to go somewhere nice) and that's the only word that comes to mind. Maybe that's just my perception! I prefer to hear things less but have them mean something every time I hear them.

I agree with this...I had a guy stop me mid sentence and drop the g-bomb...totally unexpected and it was nice....not cheesy at all. But that was only once and I can think of many scenerios where it would be cheesy.

I don't care HOW beautiful one is, decadence is right about it coming from the "right" people. Most women have a little bit of self doubt and if the one they want to hear it from never says it, it won't matter how many people tell her. She wants to be beautiful in the eyes of one certain man. (Or person if we need to be PC!)

American Pie.

Chris "Oz" Ostreicher: Suck me beautiful.
College Girl: What did you just say?
Chris "Oz" Ostreicher: Suck me beautiful!
[girl laughs]
Chris "Oz" Ostreicher: Friends call me Nova as in Casanova.
College Girl: That's pathetic!
Chris "Oz" Ostreicher: Jeez you don't have to laugh at me.

My bf says that I am beautiful to him, which I think is the cutest thing in the world, esp since I;ve gained 5 pounds lately.

I too think that "good morning beautiful", or "hey georgous" are wonderful salutations.
