Best place to get a free website for your chapter?

I'm looking to start a website for my chapter of Beta Sigma Phi, and I'd like to know: Where is the best place to get a free website? What are the pros/cons of the webhost that you use? Thanks in advance for the info.

Nicole

FREE Webhost Services

Geocities - always up (plus) has ads (con) can't use scripts for forms, password areas etc (con) easy to use (plus)

Angeltowns.com, haven't used but they have no ads or site banners on your site, you get enough space, can store scripts etc too.

I used Geocities and only moved to my paid host when I required more such as scripts, mail features, improved log features etc.

I used angelfire.com when I made my chapter's site. It was really easy and for those who don't know html it is very helpful by giving templates and stuff. The only problem is the pop-up ad that comes on everytime you go to the site but I think any free site will have that. Good luck!

You might check and see if your school allows clubs to host Web sites on their servers. Many do.

You can also find relatively cheap, reliable hosting out there (we're talking $5 a month), which will allow you more control and you won't have to deal with annoying popups.
