stunning key on eBay

Pardon the barge. . .

I was just browsing the fraternity/sorority section of eBay and saw this absolutely stunning key.

I certainly hope one of your Keepers of the Key gets this one--it is beautiful. Thought some of you might like to see it.

friends in the Kite-and-Key,
Jane (Kappa Alpha Theta)

Wow, I was just looking through ebay and saw this also. WOW! Do you think that is an older badge? It is by far the prettiest Kappa Badge I've ever seen!

I would suggest perhaps one of you contact your HQ. I know at Theta HQ, we have a staff archivist (in addition to our volunteer archivist and volunteer historian), and I bet you all have something similar in Kappa. I bet they could research this and/or get in touch with your Keepers.

best of luck - I hope this amazing key ends up in a very special-to-Kappa place.

Jane

ETA this link which may or may not be the same Annie Bell Sargent. Since the eBay posting does not list a date, I'm not sure.

That is THE most beautiful key I've ever seen!!!

As a genealogist, I can tell you that Sargent is an old New England name that goes back to the Mayflower families. I don't know if the Shrivers are related to those Sargents, as I don't know their pedigree.

Hope the Kappas keep this in the Kappa family!!

Looks like the seller took the item off auction - I hope this means great news for Kappa!
