Support for new colonies?

Hey Phis!

I was reading a thread in the Greek Life forum re: support for new colonies. According to the "posters," several NPCs send full-time consultants to live with the new colony, all expenses paid (rent, food, dry cleaning, etc) for a year or more. Having never been involved with a colony, I was wondering what support A Phi provides to new colonies.

Anyone have any experience with this?

Hi APhiDiva!

I have posted in the thread regarding Alpha Phi's practices. We usually provide a Chapter Consultant who lives on campus for at least one year if not two. After that the chapter gets approx. 3-4 ELC visits per semester.

Hi! I was a charter member of my group and agree that Alpha Phi matches if not outpaces our NPC sisters with the level of support and encouragement our new chapters receive.

I agree, I am a charter member, and we had tons of help through everything, including tons from aphigal!

Thank god, I don't know what we would have done without her!

What Laura doesn't tell you is she has gone on to be one of the best rush brains in the NE.

What chapter do you belong to? For some reason, I stopped getting my Quarterly a few years ago!

so I out to date of what our newest chapters are!

I'm from Iota Delta, URI. We were installed in March of 1999. I think there's been about 5 new chapters since mine.

I definitely don't think I'm the rush brain of the NE *yet*. First off, Stacey (who taught me everything I know) is still in the NE, just because she's doing something else right now doesn't mean she doesn't still live around here! And she's the biggest rush brain on the planet! And there are others who seem to be pretty good at rush too, like Celeste at UMaine. However, I'm working on becoming better. I'm going to have to prove myself with Bentley, but so far, so good!

And as for you Lauralaylin when you finish with Bentley you are 2 for 2 in improving rushing strength in NE chapters. There are only 11 left to work with in the region!! Get busy!!

Yes, West is Best, I will never forget, but that doesn't mean my rush noggin even comes close to comparing to yours!!!! We all know who has a larger cranium.
