Discount Shopping

I'm wondering about good discount shopping. We all have our favorite places to shop, then there are the places you go b/c you know there's a good deal there.

Outside of DC there's a place called C Mart - all high end merchandise at sort of good prices

National Wholesale Liquidators - for everything and nothing but a good and ghetto time

Premium Outlet Malls, Lohmanns , DSW, H&M <---(not really discount per sey but very good prices on current fashion)

I hate Ross, Marshalls, anything with a "mart" in it, and Target because they are cheap in terms of merchandise.

I love TJ Maxx as well as Burlington Coat Factory's houseware/home section.

I love Nordies, so I frequently hit up Nordstrom Rack. I usually hit up Off Fifth when I go on a shopping trip with Soror Steeltrap. I also love DSW. Great! I recently found some really great buys at Ross and Marshalls (I'm really into dresses). Last night, I bought three really cute dresses for a total of $50.

With my delightful shopping buddy, Soror abaici, I also like hitting up Off Fifth. There's one in SoCal that's only one of eight in the country that has Salon Z (sizes 12-24W) castoffs. That's my favorite, but I also find good deals at the San Diego and Orange locations.

I'm also close to Neiman's outlet, Last Call, which is right near the U.S./Mexico border. Mainly, I'm a shoe shopper there because Neiman dropped plus sizes.

The Nordstrom Rack is an old favorite, although I'm buying less from there these days. Back when the main store used to have Talora and Encore Gold, I bought up a bunch of stuff that I still wear.

Ross, TJ Maxx, Marshalls: you have to have a good eye and knowledge of labels to find stuff in there. I like to hit those in more affluent ****.

what's the **** about?

I cant STAND Burlington, and TJ Maxx - theyre so JUNKY and they have the worst plus sized stuff. i will bang with Walmart anyday. Kmart has declined seriously. I HATE Daffy's and Conway for the same reasons - junky and stuffy. and the employees always seemed depressed. shoot, i know if i would be if i worked there folding and hanging everything ppl like me knocked over.

and their clothes / shoes always feel cheap to me. so i dont bang with it. theyre putting a Marshall's by my house and im mixed on it.

but i do have a small space in my heart for NWL - don't sleep on it. i would even take a giftcard for there.

I love Last Call, Off Fifth, and Nordstrom Rack as well. We have all of those right here in Houston. You can get really great deals without breaking the bank.
We have a Marshall's Superstore near my parents home... I can tolerate it because they really keep it orderly (sp?) in there. I also love to shop on Harwin (a shopping district in Houston).
I can't do Ross, for some reason the ones here have funny smell!?
