ring/necklace addons

Hey ladies I've got a quick question. I've noticed the ring and necklace attachtments you can buy for your pin in gift mart and I'm thinking of maybe getting one. They don't list the prices so I was wondering if anyone knew how much they run for or if you can get them elsewhere (ie jewelers etc). I hate the fact that my pin just sits in its little box day in and day out without getting worn.

thanks!

The ones at the Gift Mart are expensive - about $150-180 - but you can take your pin off & use it as a pin. Having a jeweler do it would run about the same (I checked!), but you wouldn't have that option.

I do have a ring that was made from a pin that I bought on ebay that was done by a jeweler.

Do you ever really wear it? I have 2 pins now of the same style. I am considering a ring out of one of them, or giving it to EO for a sister that can't afford one. i was just curious how often you actually wore it.

Honey, do you have a picture of the ring a jeweler made for you? I want to have it done too, but would probably just taked take it to my local jeweler and have it permanently mounte. I knew a girl who had the mount from EO, and since it wasn't permanent, it didn't fit very snug on the ring. Not that it was going to fall off, but it wiggled a small bit. EO used to offer a permanent mount, but you would probably have to buy the pin and ring from them and I'm not sure that they do it anymore. Anyone else have the mount from EO?

oooh yes ! I would looooove one!!

Since graduate rings aren't as big a deal here as they are at say, Texas A&M where most of my family went (and I never even wear my high school grad ring anyway) instead of getting a graduation ring, I really wanted a blinged out pin to make into a ring or necklace, and would LOVE to hear from any of you who already own the said items

Keep it for yourself! All new members are required to buy their own badge, regardless (even if they are legacy's who plan to wear momma's badge!), and EO keeps a supply of discontinued pins available for discounted sale to alumnae who might want a new one should they have lost their pin.

Ring/necklace prices

I just checked giftmart online, and here are the links that list prices for the rings/necklace "addons":

Pin on Badge Ring (which is the one you can take off to wear as a pin, is here: http://giftmart.alphadeltapi.org/mer...G/PROD/JW08/J6

Permanent Badge Ring is here: http://giftmart.alphadeltapi.org/mer...G/PROD/JW08/J8

Pin on Badge Pendant (which you can take off to wear as a pin) is here: http://giftmart.alphadeltapi.org/mer...G/PROD/JW07/J7

That I'm really not sure on.. I think you have to purchase a badge (or maybe send them one if you already have one you would like to be the pendant?) Hopefully someone will be more "in the know" about these than I am

Oh my gosh, I love the permanent one too. I had never really thought of having one of my badges made into a ring, but now I want to. One of my best friend's (not a sister) family owns a lot of jewelry stores and they make a lot of jewelry. I am going to ask her dad if he thinks he can do it for me. If not, I think I want to order the permanent one from gift mart.

I don't have a photo of it, but the one on ebay did NOT show it the way it was! Ebay showed it with the long points side to side (just as we were it), but it's with the long points up and down!

So, that's why, when I get an estimate to have it sized, I also want to see if they'll change it to side to side. I haven't yet worn it because of the size, but I'm the type who would wear it almost daily.

As for the Gift Mart goodies, you have to provide the pin to add to the ring or pendant.
