Thumbs up Dress for Success

Hey Ladies,

If any of you have wearable suits just sitting in your closet, please consider donating them to the Dress for Success program.

It's an organization that provides low income women with suits to wear to job interviews. It provides a basic need to many poor women while instilling a sense of self confidence and dignity.

I donated a suit that I loved but could not wear anymore due to weight loss. It really made me feel good. And to my surprise the donation was tax deductible!

For you 'Greek people', a suit drive would make a great service project.

For more information visit www.dressforsuccess.org

Peace!

Cool

That's what AKA Coat Day is suppose to be all about...

Each chapter is responsible for donating to a place, like a "Battered/Homeless Women's Shelter" so that the clients are able to support themselves.

Now there is another place!!!

Thumbs up

Our Chapter donates as well as volunteer once a month at the Bottomless Closet. It's designed to help women get placed in the work force as well as give them proper attire for interviews and to go to work in.
ZPHI!

I saw something in reference to this on Oprah one day. The women got COMPLETE make-overs, the whole 9 yards. All in order to prepare them to look for work.

BTW, DONATION is ONE of my MANY middle names.
I'm in the process of DONATING my old car to VOLUNTEERS OF AMERICA for one of their programs.

So many of us GREEKS are one, two steps ahead of ya!
