Check out www.tylerperry.net. He has a play out called Madea's Class Reunion, which is currently touring. I don't know if it has been in your particular area but you can check the website above for the dates.
He also did the plays, I Can Do Bad All By Myself, Woman Thou Art Loosed, Behind Closed Doors, Diary of A Mad Black Woman, and Madea's Family Reunion.
They are all really good..

Not out yet but here are some plays to look forward to for those of you who have read the books. . .
Married Men
Friends and Lovers
Cheaters (don't see how to make the car scene between Toyomi and Stefan into the play which IMO is a key and FUNNY scene but okay)

My bad. . .
Coming To The Stage: It’s a done deal. E. Lynn Harris’s novel “Not A Day Goes By” is being turned into a stage play. The production began rehearsals this week in Dallas and will star actress Jackee (“227”), “American Idol” contestant Trenyce and comedian Gary Owens. The show is slated to open on Jan. 5, 2004 in Little Rock, Ark. with other dates to follow in Birmingham, Ala. Memphis, Tenn., Washington, D.C., and Baltimore. For more information on the production, go to http://www.randomhouse.com/features/...s/notaday.html
it does not come to Minnesota for LadyGreek to see. . . hopefully he adds on to the roster and includes Minnesota.

That was a good book to read. Is Trenyce going to play Yancey?? That character was something else.

Making my list...
I heard the advertisements for E Lynn's and Tyler Perry's plays on the radio today.
E Lynn's play will be here Feb. 10-15th. Yesssssssssss....what a way to celebrate/bring in Valentine's Day.

Black Plays
I was wondering if anybody had bought any of the black plays besides Tyler Perry's plays because I bought all of those. I looked on this website and there were some other plays, but I was wondering if anybody else saw any of them and if they were good? The website is www.africanimportsusa.com. Does anybody know of any websites to buy these plays from?

Okay:
Trenyce was great (as stated earlier)
Jackee (believable Ava)
Basil (I didn't see him as "high yella") LOL
Zurich-DAYUM, DAYUM, DAYUM
I only wished E Lynn would have written the play. As with most books turned play/movie, you can never get enough. I was kind of disappointed. But, you cannot put an entire book in a 2 hr+ play/movie.
Thumbs up for starting at 8 on the dot!
