Polls: Vitamins are you taking any?

I was told that taking multi-vitamins will aid me since I am in my childbearing years. And that since I am older than 30, if I take the vitamins I should have a healthy pregnancy (even though I'm not trying to get preggers).

So ladies:
1. Are you taking vitamins?
2. If so, how long have you been doing so?
3. What types of vitamins are you taking?
4. Is it prescribed? or over the counter?

I take GNC Women's Ultra Mega Multivitamin and flax seed oil. I try to take 2 multivitamins a day. I take them because of the benefits I've heard about both. Flax seed oil has many benefits..such as helping with dry scalp/eczema, brain functions, and helping you to get the "good fats" if you're not eating them in your diet.

Centrum Multi Vitamin and then Echnachea(sp) to keep my immune system during cold and flu season.

Both are over the counter.

I take a drugstore brand "Premium" multi-vitamin for active people. It's sugar, gluten, and yeast free, but it still smells like the dog's breakfast. I've been taking it daily for the last two years.

1.Whenever I remember to.
2.For a while.
3.Nature's Way Calcium/Magnesium/Zinc tablets and Flinstone's multivitamin plus Iron (I hate swallowing those big multivitamins, ok? )
4.Both are OTC, but my doc recommended me to take those since I have a history of calcium and iron defiencies.

Yes indeed, flaxoil helped so much w/ my dry skin that I could skip out on the lotion once in a while. I stopped taking it because it is so unstable. I may start taking flaxseeds which is a lot fresher.

I have a bottle of Centrum Multi-vitamins in my cabinet. I don't take them regularly because they are just so big and hard for me to swallow. I have tried cutting them in half, but it's so much trouble to do that, so I just gave up. I am reallly going to try to find something easier for me to do everyday.

I have been taking multi-vitamins for years. They are over the counter. My doctor wanted me to take a B-complex vitamin almost 20 years ago, and I just switched to the multi-vitamin about 2 years ago. I also take calcium tablets, of which I have been taking for about 4 or 5 years.

What she said! I take the same thing! I make sure my multi vitamin has iron because my iron level is low
