New Member Education

I'm an alum who is giving a nuts-and-bolts presentation to incoming ADPi New Member Coordinators.

I would love to get feedback from fellow Greeks- What advice do you have to help New Member Coordinators succeed in their role in:

1) Educating new members and helping them successfully pass the sorority International Exam
2) Staying organized and turning in forms on time
3) Monitoring the sponsor sister's relations with the new members
4) Avoiding overprogramming BUT keeping the new members feeling positive and keeping them motivated

Thanks for your advice!

I'm in a fraternity, so I know it is a little different, but I had a great pledge educator... Things that made him great were:

1.) From the very beginning, we were told to view him as one of our pledge brothers and he acted like and loved us like he was our pledge brother.
2.) He lived in a way that caused us to completely trust him. We knew that he was not going to gossip about us or "rat" on us to the membership, no matter what. We could talk to him about anything.
3.) He might get onto us in our meetings, but He always defended us in front of other members.
4.) This sounds corny, but he basically just loved us, which instilled in us a love for the fraternity, each other, and the membership.
5.) He expected greatness out of us. We were not allowed to fail.
