Post Romance......

Ok Ladies and Gents We've had our share of drama for the past few days. Let's lighten the tone a bit......

What's your idea of romance? Is it flowers out of the blue? Candles, soft music, and bubble bath?

I think romance can come in many forms. However, the last romantice thing my finance and I did was to go bike riding together one evening after work. There is time to laugh and just enjoy quality time together.

Actually, I have discovered that my fiance and I share our most romantic moments when we are doing absolutely nothing but lying around watching TV. But I love to take long drives with him, it just makes us feel closer. ((hi Exquizit))

Romance is atmosphere, timing and a certain feeling. I don't think of myself as a romantic but rain REALLY turn me on. Not only does rain put me in the mood but it also calms and relaxes me. It is a given when it rains that I drape my balcony in white sheets, place candles everywhere and prepare food for a picnic. We snuggle in a blanket while feeding each other to the drip dropping sound of the rain and some mellow music until we or fall asleep!

Hey Exquizit, Hey thinNchocolate. TNC, I am feeling you, sometimes its not all about going out and buying this or that. Sometimes its not about doing much of anything but enjoying one anothers company. My boyfriend and I go out to dinner and go away on weekend getaways, but sometimes with all the hussle and bussle, I enjoy our playful moments at home.

Romance is.......

-Calling someone for no reason just to say hi
-Picking up the dry cleaning just because
-Taking the baby out for a "guys day" so Mommy can have some private time
-Leaving one of those "just because" cards
-Holding a hand for no reason at all

These are just a few ways that my hubby shows his "romantic" side.

I would have to agree.

My boyfriend and I don't have a traditional romantic relationship. Flowers, candy, cards, holding hands has never been our thing. Sometimes it would be nice but I knew my boyfriends personality when I met hme six years ago. To be honest, when he tries those traditional things every blue moon, I just bust out laughing cause its so not him. Romance to me, are those things that are particular to our relationship that only we understand and reinforce why after all this time we are still together.
Perfect example, yestaerday I flew home to California for 3 weeks, he just instant messaged me, after the third message he changed the text to pink, then green. To anybody else that wouldn't be romantic but he catered it towards my fantastic tatste in sororities. Just those little things keep it going for us.

Cool

I can't pick just one thing. I've had some wonderful romantic men in my life. But what sticks out most was a picnic a gentleman had planned. It rained, so we had it in the car, wine, wine glasses, cheese, the whole deal.

To me romance is the little things, like...

Telling me I'm beautiful even if I don't feel beautiful at that point in time.

Back rubs

Butterfly kisses

Short little love notes

Fixing dinner when I'm tired and hungry

Things like this would make me fall in love in a NY minute.

Romanance to me is music and a conversation about anything. Then dinner that I cooked, watching TV and then fallin asleep in each other's Arms. There are a variety of other things that I find romantic but that is one example.
