Spring Rush
Seeing as how the spring semster is right around the corner, I want to wish the rest of the SDT chapters out there a good rush! Lets get some awsome new sisters this semster and kick ass!
Who here has formal rush now?
For those chapters *like mine* that have informal rush, what are you doing?

The Alpha Epsilon chapter has fall and spring informal rushes. We will have a mardi gras theme this semester.
It is possible that next year we will be doing formal Rush for Purdue.

Hey Sistas!!!
MSU has an informal rush in the Spring, but Panhel actually plans three days out. The first week of February is when we can all start. Our amazing VP recruitment has planned some cute themes for the three days. The first: Relive Childhood Sleepovers. The second: Flash Back to Another Era! and the the Third is : Escape the Winter Blues!
OMG the last is something i'd just about love to do right now!! Michigan weather is horrible this month so far. We've gotten a lot of snow ... and our campus is huge, so its a lot of trudging.
The week after the Panhel planned dates, we have planned three more COB"s. Themes have yet to be announced, but Im sure they will be fun too.
Hope you're all staying warm!

So I spoke to the VP of Recruitment, who just happens to be my pledge sister, and she said she isn't looking to go all crazy on rush. We are going to do the IGC Rush fair, which all GLO's do, and the Welcome Back Bash which all the clubs do, and maybe one COB event. We are going to be focusing on getting our GDI friends etc this semster. We are also not doing rush shirts, insteads we are going to be doing Greek Week shirts (we never do them). I think this stinks, and I am hoping it doesn't go through when she informs the rest of the chapter at our first meeting next week.

my opinion
I feel that rush shirts for spring are important and for the vp of rush to want shirts for greek week instead, is not thinking about recruiting new members.(which is the reasoning for her position) Greeks are at greek week ,they already know who you are, why do you need a rush shirt to show off to people in other organizations. (it doesnt make sense) rush shirts make you stand out from the rest. I honestly feel this people isn't taking their position seriously and they need to come up with a great rush quote. If you need help email me at jillibg8@aol.com. I am the vp of rush and I am always coming up with rush shirts to make our sorority stand out from the rest and we always do!!!~

I agree with MSUgreek, why can't you do both? Are the shirt funds out of your budget or do you guys pay for each shirt you get individually? Oh and MSUgreek, much love tonight to you and to the rest of the Sig Delts at State since I know that the informational meeting is tonight. I am feeling very optimistic about this recruitment. And to the rest of the Sig Delts out there, good luck to you too on recruitment

Elena

Bumping this to see how everyone did this spring. From what I have heard, MSU got 5 great women who were pinned recently. MSUgreek or MsUsIgDeLt can either one of you confirm this for me?
Thanks

I found out that we have four girls this semester. I am excited because I will be getting a grand lil this semester. I can't wait to find out who it will be.
Buttonz-good luck with the rest of recruitment.
