Slogans You've Loved!
I've heard some of the cutest recruitment expressions on GreekChat, plus we had a few of our own. I was reminded of my personal favorite from when I was in school when I read our newest GreekChatter, Lindsay's! We had a kitten sleeping, and "dreaming" of a lion. It said, "When you dream, dream big! Dream about being an Alpha Delta Pi!"
I've since heard, "It's hard to be humble when you're Queen of the Jungle" and other great ones. Which ones did you all use and/or love?

Our chapter didn't usually do our own recruitment slogans, but there were two that I know of.... the semester before I joined, the chapter got purple long sleeved t-shirts for bid day that on the front had kind of like an ADPi decal with yellow script across the top saying Alpha Delta Pi, yellow script along the bottom saying First and Finest, and the year 1851 in green in the middle (I think...unfortunately I got rid of my shirt in senior wills to my diamond sister!). On the back it said ADPi (in greek letters) and underneath it said "It's not something you become, it's something that you already are" (or something along those lines)
The other shirt we had made that was separate from the University's recruitment slogan was this past year's when I went back as an alumna to help with recruitment. The first round the girls did a couple of commericials about being an ADPi (one was a takeoff from the Oscar Mayer commercial, and the other was a milk commercial) so the shirts were black and on the front it said: Got Sisterhood......
The back said: Sure milk can give you strong bones,
But Alpha Delta Pi can give you a
Healthy mind, heart, and soul
Sisterhood in Alpha Delta Pi is a liflong experience
Not only will you make amazing friends
Give back to the community and become
Active in campus life, but you will also
Find happiness and fun that will last well after
your college years.
Now how's that for a killer smile?
ADPi Bid Day 2003 (yes I had the shirt in front of me so I could type it correctly )
I wish we would've come up with more of our own recruitment slogans....they're a lot of fun and t-shirts are a great marketing tool!

For my personal bid day there was no slogan...the next year was a lion on the front with "Welcome to the jungle" and on the back it said "We followed the right tracks" and tracks was written on with the letters in paw prints. The next year had violets on the back and the quote was "Sisters are the flowers in the garden of life." My senior year was "Everybody has their day in the sun...some just last longer than others." That was also on the back of a shirt.

Our bid day shirts were cute They were blue and had "Alpha Delta Pi" written across the front, and a line of white diamonds underneath the words.
On the back of the shirt is had ADP in big letters (the letters were light, but dark enough so you could see them) and in the foreground of the greek letters it said:
"In 1851 we invented sororities.
In 2003 we've perfected them!"

I don't remember where I saw this but I loved it:
The beauty of violets,
The strength of lions,
The brilliance of diamonds,
The love and loyalty of sisters.

I love that saying too! We put it on our packets for recruitment to get our spirits lifted going into formal recruitment!

ADPiViolet-
Hey I'm assuming you're from Lambda chapter. I was just wondering if you came to the mixer with Beta Beta?

I did have a great time. We learned a lot of songs from your chapter that we didn't know. We also showed ya'll our step-show, which was fun. I wish you could have come! Maybe next time.

During Pref, many of the older adpis will share with the potential members this little saying:
"Make a wish that is old,
Or one that is quite new.
Believe me when i say, my wish is true,
that i wish for you to be an adpi too."
becareful not to break recruitment rules with that one.
it could be modified...
"Make a wish that is old,
Or one that is quite new.
One that is white, and one that is blue,
I hope that you wish to be an adpi too."

Our 2003 Bid Day shirts were awesome!
They're fuscia (have heard some folks on campus refer to them as "Those bright pink shirts").
front: blue lettering with white outline "Alpha Delta Pi Bid Day 2003"
back: 3 playing cards-all diamonds (Alpha of diamonds, Delta of diamonds, Pi of diamonds) and it says "I must have played my cards right to get sisters like you!"
imho, ours were the best
