Bowling balls
I'm looking to buy a bowling ball--does anyone know a good place to get one? I've looked around local places, but I need a 6 lb. ball and no one has those. I also want something cool, too...one of those clear balls with stuff in the middle would be nice. Suggestions? Thanks.

Yes, 6 lbs! I'm a shrimp. I've tried different balls at the alleys I go to, and the 8 is OK but I like the 6 better. I'm sad, because the ball I wanted (one of those clear ones that looks like a watermelon) comes in 10 lbs at the lightest. I can use a 10 lb ball, but it's harder.

You may want to just bowl with the balls at the alley. Do a little strength training so that an 8 or higher becomes comfortable. If you use that 6 a lot, you may end up with a ball that's too light.

Thanks for your all's advice. I've decided to work out a little so I can handle a 10 lb ball, because that's the lightest weight the one I want comes in, and I really have to have that one ball because I'm in love with it. I don't know how this'll pan out since my arms were never very strong, even when I was a gymnast, but we'll see.

Do you have a Sports Authority or a Dicks Sporting Goods in your area? They have predrilled 6 lbs balls but you better have small hands.
