ZX

Last summer I met a Zeta Chi alumna at a Bar B Q place in NRH. I was wearing a pink Absolutely ADPi shirt and she turned around as she was saying hi, gave me the hand shake. At first I didn't know what she was doing, then she told me she was an ADPi at Baylor. It was so exciting to meet an alum. Funny thing is my mom had no idea what was going on when I turned back around smiling.

Calling all Texas Ladies

Texas Sisters ~

I need your help!

I have tried to call all chapter this week and some dont even have working numbers. I am trying to compile a list officers for each chapter in Texas, with their phone numbers and emails. The purpose is so that all of the Texas chapters can network with sisters holding their respective offices through out Texas. This is great for idea sharing, fundraising coordinating, or even setting up events introducing the chapters. (we did Black Diamond one year with TCU. Wouldn't have been possible if we didn't know who to contact at the chapter.)

So here it is... Can each of you email me an officer contact list of your current officers? Or, can you pass my request on to someone (president or Recording secretary) that can? I'm trying to gather this information ASAP. SO the sooner the better.

Thank you ladies!!!!

L&L - Sherra

The officers will be able to network with each other at District Leadership Conference. Also if an officer wants to write to other officers in the district, she can just use the chapter address and put attn: Property Manager or whatever. Additionally, she could contact her Province Director to get information- the PD will know who to contact.

I'm do not think it's appropriate to have this information circulating around to whoever wants it- we've had an incident in the past here on GC that reminded us to be VERY cautious when giving out any type of information. I'm sure you have only the best intentions, but unfortunately past experiences have taught us to be Better Safe Than Sorry.

However, that being said, it sounds like you're really enthusiastic about helping the collegiate chapters, and that's great! Perhaps you could apply to be an International Officer. There are various positions with different time commitments. The easiest way to do this is to fill out a volunteer profile in Pride Online.

I totally understand your concern, and thank you for voicing it. However, this information will only end up in the hands of the presidents and chapter advisors to distribute as they please. It is still optional, should any of the texas chapters want to participate.

Thank you for your suggestions about an international officer. I am concidering it. However, i am an honorary alum and feel that positions are best filled by a graduated alumns. So I will wait my turn. I should be official in a year or two. It has been a long journey, but i will have my degree shortly. In the meantime, I'm just trying to get active in my local alum chapter and with the local collegiate chapter.

Again, thank you for your concern.
