Initialized clothing and accessories
Are accessories and clothing with initials a huge big deal where you are? I didn't see any until December and suddenly the stores were covered and my students all came back from vacation covered with initials. It's like teaching in alphabet soup.
We got a few items for some of our girls but the one with an H name is out of luck--I swear that there wasn't ANYTHING with an H on it in the stores.

initials aren't a big thing here on clothes - they're getting popular on jewellry, but that's it (even still, not many people I know even have that)

i saw them all over around xmas time, but most stuff is on clearance now. I personally have an adorable black 3/4 sleeved sweater w/a hot pink K on it, and a little black purse w/a pink beaded K that a friend got me for my birthday.
For the most part i've seen a lot of stuff in the stores, but only the occasional handbag in public..

I've always had monogrammed Brooks Brothers shirts. I also have monogrammed luggage.

Jewelry with initials and to a less extent other accessories like purses (I don't think I saw very many on clothes) were relatively popular during the summer and fall, but I think the trend is fading out up here.

I've only seen initialized bags from Roots (yes, the people that made the Canadian, US and UK Olympic Gear in 2002) and the pants from the GAP (but that was back in late August) so far, but I don't really pay attention to a lot of stuff that doesn't come from the stores that I normally go to. I have a Roots purse with a pink "C" on it though.

I have seen clothes and purses with initials since the summer. Macys had tons of initials at Christmas time. My boss gave me a Tiffany & Co. leather day planner with my monogram for Christmas. I have a few necklaces with my initials from the last time it was in fashion. I think that some of those shirts look like something Laverne would wear.
