Rush

I'm VPR this fall and I'm super excited. Every year we have a progressive dinner, where each course of a meal is at a different sister's house, but I want some fresh ideas for events. Please share some ideas with me.
Thanks,
Alison

here are some of the things that we do/did at Kappa Eta:
*picnic at a local park, either alone or with PhiMA
*movie and a make over night at a sister's house
*moacktails and games/socializing, just make sure that every one knows the jello shots are fake ;-)
*volleyball with the boys
*mini golf
*Go to a resturaunt (we like perkins) cause you know "when SAI meets, SAI eats" =0)
*backwards dinner (eat dessert first the salad last)
*board game night (i fell inlove with SAI playing life)
ummm i don't remember what else we're doing this year since my planner is down stairs...but i hope this helped a little bit

We did A Chocolate Fantasy night, where of course everything was chocolate and we played games, we also did a Pajama Rama Jammy Jam, (I hoped I spelled that right) where we came in our jammies and played kid games, with kid prizes and kid foods, like we did show and tell, had peanut butter and jelley sandwiched cut in triangles, and gave out play dough and stuff. I think out of all the rush events that was my favorite, even though we didn't have any prospective members show up.

Our Rush starts Jan. 12 and I am soooo excited! I'm VP Membership for Epsilon Gamma. Our events:

Jan. 12: informational meeting, then we're going to play lazer tag

Jan. 14: bowling (Wednesdays are Quarter Bowling here)

Jan. 16: movie w/ Phi Mu Alpha in the Recital Hall(they have a projector so it's just like sitting in a movie theater!), then girls only sleepover in the choir room

Jan. 18: Formal Rush at an alum's house

When does everyone else's Rush start, and what are your events?

LMAO!!! Our chapter is the same way. Oddly enough, from talking to girls at Convention this summer, every chapter is obsessed with eating. What is the deal?

LOL I guess that's true! We actually teasingly ask prosective members, "do you love to eat? Because it's sort of an unofficial requirement". LOL!

Here's 2 super-cool chapter ideas involving food! Our president is too cool!

1)during one meeting, Lauren(our prez) came to a meeting and brought like 6 or 7 super size fries from McDonalds and put them in a huge bowl and gave us all plates. There's only 8 of us, so we circled around the table eating McD's fries during our meeting.

2)we had a Cookie Decorating Party w/ Phi Mu Alpha and invited anyone that wanted to to come, right before the Xmas break. We brough gingerbread men, sugar cookies, and tons of sprinkles and frosting, etc. And 3 or 4 gallons of milk. It was sooooo much fun! You can see pics from it on the chapter's website: http://www.saieg.com

Just wanted to give y'all an update on Epsilon Gamma's rush.

We now have 13 MITs who will be pinned this Friday. This is an ASTOUNDING number since we only have 9 active sisters and usually never have an MIT class of more than 5!

Thanks! Also, just to add to that...this is the largest MIT class in the history of my chapter!! We're the buzz of the music department right now.
