Question Question

Hey ladies! I have a question to ask you all. How many credits do you have to be taking to hold an EC position, 12+ or it doesn't matter? I look through our entire consitution and bylaws from Nationals, didn't find anything.

Reason I am asking is bc I am Colligiate Alumnae Laision and someone told our President (Our Greek Advisor who is also an AST alum and on National staff) that you have to have 12 credits to hold an EC position (I have 8 credits, bc of money I can only go part time rt now) but none of us can find it anywhere....and we want proof before I have to step down from this position.

Thanks!

I know your Greek Advisor, and I'm pretty sure that she can point you in the right direction... or contact your District President or Educational Consultant. Someone can answer the question for you.

I know to be considered an active member in AST you have to be registered as a full time student at your university. If your university considers anything less than 12 hours as part time status, that may be the problem.

Now that I've said that, I have to go find where I read that. Could be an NPC guideline....I'll look and get back to you. (Meanwhile, check your campus guidelines and your campus Panhellenic bylaws)
