How is everyone?
This forum has gotten so quiet!! So how is everyone doing? Any new updates about anything AST or non-AST?
I am doing good. School is in full swing, so I have been busy. Delta Pi is having big/lil week this week. So I have been helping my little come up with clues for her new little. Friday, I will have 1 little, 2 grand- littles and 2 great grand-littles. My family has grown so much!! My big was a founding sister and I know she is so happy to see how much Delta Pi has grown. So everyone else update about what is happening in your life.

Totally agree we need to talk on here more. What am I supposed to do at work?
I graduated in May and moved to Philly. I've met the Delta Sigma ladies who are very very nice! This weekend is homecoming so I'm flying back to the old WI for it. Should be fun. I think we have 6 alumnae, including myself coming back. This is huge, last year was the first time anyone came back and we had 2, one of those lived in town though.... Should be a good time. We are gonna help the chapter out with some stuff and it'll be fun! The school is really trying to make homecoming more of an event so we'll see what happens. I'm just excited to see everyone.

Well at the moment, I'm trying to recconect with the Alumna chapter here in Houston. I went to one event last year, and haven't really heard from them since. So I've emailed nationals to try and get more contact info, so we can get things started up again. I'm also diligently volunteering around town in an effort to meet some Junior League women, and possibly become involved with that organization. Also, to establish relationships with local organizations that the Alum chapter here could work with. I've also managed to contact the chapter at St. Mary's here in Texas, and they got my info, so hopefully (fingers crossed) they'll invite me up sometime soon. My Alpha Lambda has a new member class of 16 I think and I think I'll be getting a few new members in my fam. I took 2 littles when I was a collegiate, so I have a great great great gran-little that should be taking, and a great gran-little that should be taking ;-) Yay I'm old. I also agree that we need more action on this board! I check it obsessively! What the hell else would I do at work!?

I transferred this semester from the University of Illinois at Chicago (Delta Delta) to St. Leo University (Delta Upsilon) outside of Tampa, FL. Not only was I accepted into the chapter, I was voted in as Vice President! I get to start my own family tree, which is going to be exciting, because both my my "daughters" (we did moms & daughters at UIC) dropped the new member process, so I'm going to be spoiling some lucky girl next semester! It's really different here, because the chapter will only be 2 years old Nov. 2, so I am one of the oldest (initiation-wise), which is kind of neat. I'm learning things, as well as teaching & bringing some new ideas to the chapter! I'll update a little more later.

WHAT????? Why'd you transfer? I'll bet that was a big switch, huh? Are you still planning on being initiated when the colony is installed?
I moved to Lynchburg, Virginia last month (from Arkansas), and am now the Coordinator of Student Activities/Greek Life at Lynchburg College. YAY for me!!! It's a fun job....so far I've just been trying to learn who's who and what's what....but I enjoy every day. Lynchburg is so pretty...sure it's a "small" town, but it's big enough for me, and huge towns (Roanoke, Richmond, Charlottesville, even DC) aren't that far away. So it's all good.
This weekend my husband and I drove to Virginia Beach and back on Saturday. Imagine....the ocean only 3 hours away....Arkansas can't beat that!!!!

Wow, haven't left a message in here in awhile. I've been busy with school, work and COR.
Right now the Delta Tau chapter is in the process of COR. We got 3 AMAZING women during formal recruitment. Trust me, these women are simply amazing. We joke around how they don't need their new member mommy bc they have everything planned out before she even has to tell them. 2night was their big/lil reveal. It was so cute bc 2 of them thought I was their big. Although one of the girls is in my family tree...she's my grand little. I'm so excited to see my family tree grow! COR seems to be going good and we hope to have another pledge class up and running before the semester ends.
