Dr. Charles Richardson, one of our founders, said this:
The letters Chi and Omega not only provided a monogram badge but they lent themselves readily to the motto in mind, and enabled Chi Omega to reverse the order of naming its chapters and assigning Omega as the chapter roll of deceased members. The mother chapter took the name Psi, the letter preceding Omega.
