Chartering Activities

Most of the chatering ceremonies I have been to have had two parts, Initiation of the charterers (or recharterers) of the chapter and a dinner where the charter presentation is part of the activities. However there have been some variations...

When Zeta Mu chapter at Catholic U. rechartered, one of the activities was a Catholic Mass to bless the charter.

A couple of the ceremonies late in the semester have initiated the (re)charterers and then the (re)charterers would Initiate the "pledge class" from that semester, who didn't make it on the charter application.

I've heard of chapters being (re)chartered at both sectional conferences (like Barton will) and even National Conventions.

Some chapters go right from the dinner into a party/dancing.

Never seen a service project as part of chartering, but its not unreasonable, but the problem there is most visitors come dressed for a formal activity.

Any more things people have seen?
