Question Are there any events in the NYC area?

Are there any events, stepshows, plays,
seminars, or volunteer experences that pertain to this organiztion going on in the New York City area,I would really like to attend something and my school does not have a chapter. Please email me back. Thank you in Advance

One other thing you may want to do is instead of writing a general post and stating you want to attend any/every event you might want to go to the international page and search for schools/chapters close to yours. Send a note/email/ or even call (if applicable) the chapters and directly ask those Sorors in the area in which you can make a difference about 'their' events. NYC is a big place.

A good reference for events in the NYC area in general is my fellow Hamptonian's page:
http://www.socialstep.com. Although you were asking for things pertaining to Alpha Kappa Alpha; I thought that you would also find that to be helpful. It's good to network in the general sense...

Otherwise, pick up copies of the Village Voice, etc. to find out more about social and cultural venues. I'm a native New Yorker...and I know there is much for you to see and do to keep you socially active.
