Spring Recruitment Outlook
Hey guys,
This thread for talking about next semester's posible pledges. I think we have 10 now we're considering. I'm the contact person for three of them. My three guys are all cool, in fact all the guys we're interested in have good potential. We're going for both quality and quanity.
My advice is to have everyone in the chapter make a new friend. If you're at a bigger school then I'd say aim for freshman but really, if they would be a good brother, class rank doesn't matter. Younger guys are a plus because they'll be in the chapter longer, but the guy who is a seinor might work his ass off for one semester. Plus, he probablly knows guys he can recruit. So its okay to rush/ pledge anyone as long as it is some one who you would want to call a brother for life.
Go for QUANTITY and QUALITY to make the Chapter better.
For Quantity: meet as many new people as you can. This means you hang out with them outside of your comfort zone. You don't get to see your pledge brothers as much just you and them but invite your brothers out when you go hang out with these new guys or try to get a place together. If you can't do that no sweat. Just hang out with them by yourself. In time you'll be good friends with them and they'll want to join.
For Quality: This is more for voting on Pledges, but can help with recruitment. Only recruit people who you want to know YOUR ritual and give YOUR handshake too. If they wouldn't live up to your ritual then they're no good for the chapter. But you have to recruit good people just like bad ones.
I want everyone's chapter size to grow by 100%. That sounds hard but really all that needs to be is: everyone gets one friend, that they would want to be brothers with, to join the chapter. If everyONE gets ONE you double in size.
