Cool Earth Wind & Fire

These guys really had it going on. Just further proof that today's music really sucks.

My favorite EWF tunes are Shining Star, Reasons, That's the Way of the World, and Fantasy.

They came into town last year and I took my mom to go see them. I don't know who had more fun--me or her.

I always find myself shaking my thang to September.

I really like that LIVE CD they put out. Really good stuff.

I'm a big Fan of EW&F.

Shining Star, Boogie Wonderland(with the Emotions), After the Love has gone are my Favorites.

My husband was supposed to take me to see them last Friday night at Madison Square Garden, but the snowstorm caused the producers to cancel the show. Bastards!

Anyhow, EWF was all up in the spot at my wedding:

* "I'll Write a Song for You" was played during the prelude;
* FH and I entered the reception with "Sun Goddess" (actually by Ramsey Lewis, but EWF performs on the song too);
* My bouquet toss was a before and after -- "On Your Face" starting out, followed with "Party Ain't a Party" by Queen Pen, which samples "On Your Face."

I am convinced that I was born in the wrong decade. I should have been born was music was MUSIC, as my father would say. I love EWF but I've missed them everytime they've come to town. I love Fantasy, That's the Way of the World, Let's Groove, September and so many more. Makes me want to pop in my CDs.
