Nes
I was digging around in my basement the other day and came across my old Nintendo Entertainment System! Oh man, I have gotten nothing accomplished in the past three days. Between Tetris, Duck Tales & Super Mario Bros. 3, I've become completely useless. Does anyone else out there still play this or am I just that outdated?

I still have mine but I haven't played it in a while. Maybe I'll break it out tonight! I love Tetris and Dr. Mario...I can play those games for hours!

I have a SNES/NES emulator on my Xbox (how I did that is a complicated explanation). It's great to have all of those old games though.

This is so funny. My mom still has our old NES @ home (I have simply a GameBoy Advance while my sister & her husband have PS2, Super Nintendo, Nintendo 64 & GameBoy- they just sold PS1 a few months ago!). So at XMas I received a couple games for my GBA & my sister received some PS2 games.
My mom went on & on about how she wishes the NES still works (no- I don't know why it's still there if it's broken ). She loves games & is really good at role playing ones like the Zelda series, Metroid, etc. - to the point my boyfriends would call our house & talk to her for an hour about games.
However, she cannot control the advanced game systems because there are "too many buttons". You should see her try.. when the 1st upgrad of Nintendo came out (I don't remember if it was Super or 64) it was the funnies thing, she would get so frustrated!
So- for thos of you that have NES emulators on your computers, is there a link I could email her to d/l one?

Does anyone remember watching that film right about Nes/Snes fever? It was called the Nintendo kid or something?
I can still remember them in it saying 'I love the powerglove. It's so bad.'

OH MAN! Nintendo freak! One of my first "dates" with my last boyfriend was hanging out in his room playing NES until 3 in the morning...it was awesome, he had his NES hooked up right next to his Cube. I still have my Super Nintendo, my mom and I used to play Mario Kart all the time. She still plays GameCube too - she loves MonkeyBall almost as much as me!

Aw, this thread reminded me of the games I used to love!!! Even though I was more of a Sega girl-- Sonic and Tails... I did enjoy playing Super Mario and Tetris.

When FI and I get married and our video game collections combine, it will be pretty impressive. Of all the "major" systems, the only ones we're missing are the Genesis, Sega CD and X-Box (which I refuse to get becasue its crap).
I still have my Atari 2600 in perfect working order.
We just need to get a platinum GBA-SP to match the cube.
