Sorry for crashing your board. Just wanted to share.
I was out tonight Christmas shopping and was driving into a shopping PetSmart. I had to stop to keep from running over a small owl in the drive. It had a hurt wing. It wouldn't let me pick him up (just not an appropriate person I think, squirrels are another matter). Another shopper stopped and was concerned about the owl too and she happened to have a phone book in her van. I called the Animal Shelter and got sent to the emergency line. I told the wildlife officer where the owl was and that it was hurt and he said he'd come pick it up and call a wildlife vet.
It just made me think of ya'll. Okay, I'll step out of your board now.
Tanya, thank you for the kindness you showed to our feathered friend. On behalf of your efforts, I will endeavor to be especially friendly to squirrels this week and will encourage my miniature dachshund to do the same!
