Fall Recruitment Results '03

I just wanted to announce that the Delta Eta chapter at the University of South Florida welcomed 38 wonderful women into our sorority today! (38 was quota, by the way). After a looooong week (I'm Panhellenic Exec), I got to go back to my chapter with 1 other Exec member and 5 Recruitment Counselors. Revealing was so fun with all of us up there together. This was our first recruitment with houses on our campus, and today was a blast taking pictures outside on our front lawn with huge wooden letters! Our Fall 2003 New Member Class is full of beautiful women, and from what I hear, they have great personalities as well. I'm just glad to be back at my "Sweet Home Kappa Delta!"

What other schools are done with recruitment already? Did you all get quota? Any new KDs out there who were PNMs during this recruitment?

YAY!!! Congrats!! Our Recruitment start's tomorrow night with Convocation. Quota's not set until after late registration tomorrow, but hopefully we make it. *fingers crossed*

I'll keep ya posted though!!

We got 11 girls through formal which was AWESOME because we're the ONLY sorority on campus without a house and we did better than many with houses! YAY!! And we just got 8 more through open recruiting tonight! 4 more and we're at campus total!!

Hey, does anyone know how rush went for KD at the University of Kentucky? I hope they did really well, very sweet girls. I just feel odd asking them in person.

I don't think we have any Kentucky KDs on this board.... but if I hear anything i'll let you know!

Your chapter at WKU made quota- I believe it was 38, may have been 40- it was awhile back! They are a great chapter, and have a great sisterhood!! You should be very proud of them all! Probably the strongest house on campus!

Hey ladies!
Just to let you know, Delta Pi at Middle Tennessee State University brought in 33 beautiful ladies, meeting quota! We've had alot of compliments from other GLOs about what great girls we had from recruitment! Rush was difficult with lower numbers and alot of withdrawels, but we still got the best of the best! MTSU KD's are still kickin butt!

Hi ladies!! We did VERY well this year down here in Texas! We usually have over 1000 girls go through Recruitment here, but due to the new, more selective Freshman acceptance policies at UT, we had less than 800 girls go through this year. So we were a little worried about matching last year's success (we had probably one of the best recruitments in chapter history last year)...

Our return rates were amazing throughout the week, some of the best in Panhellenic (not bad for the youngest sorority chapter on campus!), we actually intimidated quite a few chapters!!

Quota for this year was 50, and we got *drumroll please* 52 fabulous girls!!! I'm a senior this year, and I could not have asked for a better final recruitment. Its been just amazing to see the improvement in our chapter in the last few years since I pledged. We have gone from being a "middle-of-the-road" sorority, to now being regarded as one of the top 6 sororities (out of 14) at UT, which is very difficult to do if your chapter isn't over 75 years old.

Sorry this post was so long, but as you can tell, I'm excited and very proud!!

Hi ladies! Sorry for busting in but I thought that everyone would like to know that KD at UNF in Florida took about 60 ladies in their first colonization efforts. Congratuations KAPPA DELTA!!!

Your Zeta Omega chapter got quota at 18 ladies

Xi was one of 3 houses (out of 11 total) that took quota of 14. There are 2 more spots left, i'm sure they'll be filled quickly

ETA- we got the 2 girls, pretty easily it looks, so now we have 16 (quota + 2) and at total

We just got 55 beautiful new pledges (one of the few who made quota this year!!) and they're loving KD so far!! Get excited for Eta Alpha!!

That was so great to read about KDs success at Texas. It sounds like that campus is so competitive. (I guess I've always heard that the list of top $ix at that campus was like set in stone, so that is a pretty bold assessment.) We are all celebrating with you guys! I heard the biggest chapter there is like 240 or something, so you guys must be at least over 200! Wow! It must be nice to not need to do any open recruiting throughout the year.
