Question UNC-Pembroke

Is there anyone here who is familiar with the greek system at UNC-Pembroke? I know that there is a ZTA chapter and a Tri-Sigma chapter on campus (as well as chapters for Native Americans and the NPHC).

I have a few friends who went there... I am not very familiar with the school. It is a Historically Native American institution.

I could ask around and find out more... My impression has been that the University is trying to expand its programs and appeal.

Miss North Carolina a few years ago went to UNC-P... She was gorgeous, I believe she had Lumbee heritage. Don't know if she was in a sorority.

Here is a link to their chartered organizations. They seem to have a wide range of NPHC, professional, honorary, NIC, and NPC groups, as well as Alpha Pi Omega--the Native American one you referred to.

Thanks, BG - my friend who is at Pembroke directed me to the site. I was just hoping for a little more 'inside' information.

Hopefully I'll have a recruitment story to share sometime this winter.

edit(cause i found out new info)*** so apparently one of the locals there is talking to a national now. I'm not sure who it is. But they only need 12 members to petition the college to permission.

No inside information here but I do have two things to add. That Miss North Carolina is a sister of Alpha Pi Omega. The Theta Kappa Sorority was a local then AST (Delta Gamma colony) then went back to being a local.
